The artistic research delicately intertwines elements of childhood and sacred imagery, the domestic and the natural. Narrative elements are expressed in her works, which the author combines with extreme care. Flora Maffezzoli operates with rigorous attention to every small detail and chooses the most suitable techniques each time: from the gestural ritual of embroidery to traditional painting or with material integrations. Sometimes nature becomes an integral part of the very matter of the works. Twigs, small seeds, cotton threads, and other natural elements participate in a single lyrical impulse toward what is earthly, vital, and worthy of devotion.

Biography

Born in Mantova in 2002. In 2021, she enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and earned a Three-year Degree in Painting. Currently attending the Master’s Degree course.
