The hierarchical structure of wild boars is based on a matriarchal system, in which the dominant female, called the matriarch, is the mother of all other females and the only one to reproduce. Killing the matriarch releases the other females of the herd from social control. They disperse and reproduce, giving life to other herds. This phenomenon leads to a progressive increase in the population and aggravates the phenomenon of ‘boar invasions.’ The work ironically recalls the phenomenon of herd fragmentation: from a wound (the killing of the matriarch) hordes of wild boars emerge.

Biography

Born in Udine in 1999. In 2026, he earned a Second-Level Diploma in Painting, Visual and Performing Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. He is part of the Fondazione Malutta collective. Lives and works in Venice.
