108th Young Artists Collective.
Discovering emerging contemporary art. Promoting new artists. Valuing talent.

The 108th Young Artists Collective exhibition of the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa is held from May 5 to June 28, 2026. It takes place in the Sala del Camino at SS. Cosma e Damiano on Giudecca. The exhibition is curated by Stefano Coletto. It is a historic event that promotes and values emerging contemporary art.

The exhibition is open to artists under 30 who live or reside in the Triveneto region. All contemporary artistic languages are admitted: painting, sculpture, installation, video, performance, and process-based practices.

There is also a graphic design competition for the image of the event. 320 applications were received from 190 artists. A jury appointed by the Foundation evaluated the works.
The members of the jury are:

• Elena Forin, Independent curator and professor in Museology at the Accademia di Belle Arti Santa Giulia (Brescia) and at the University of Parma; 
• Gaetano Mainenti, professor of Decoration at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia; 
• Angela Mengoni, professor of Semiotics at the IUAV University of Venice; 
• Stefania Portinari, Professor of History of Contemporary Art at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice;
• Giovanni Turria, Professor of Graphic Art at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia.

37 artists were selected, with 46 works.

Purchase prizes are provided: three prizes of 3,000 euros and two prizes of 2,000 euros. The winning works will enter the Bevilacqua La Masa Collection, which is recognized by the Ministry of Culture. The winners will be announced at the inauguration on Tuesday, May 5 at 12:00 PM.

Participation in the Collective is also educational, as artists follow the entire process from application to installation and the final catalog. The works were presented from March 16 to 18, 2026, and the jury evaluated them live on March 25. 

Great attention was dedicated to the graphic project of the event. The winner is Alessandro Durighello, who created the image for the event. Other projects were also selected from authors: Alessia Ottaviani, Marta Mancuso, Clelia Cadamuro, Chiara Cunoci, Virginia Follo, Lucia Bortolus, Etienne Dal Ben, Bianca Francesca Serafin, and Erika Verlato. The competition is an important professional opportunity for young creatives, with a prize of 1,000 euros. The winning project is used across all digital and paper materials.

his is the second year that the exhibition participates in the European project CreArt 3.0 #stringing_together. The project is funded by the Creative Europe Program and offers an international network to artists. It involves 13 European cities and fosters exchanges and experiences.

The SS. Cosma e Damiano complex is a very active creative hub in Venice, hosting 9 Artist Ateliers belonging to the BLM Foundation, including: CTR, Pantakin Circoteatro, Compagnia de Calza “I Antichi”, and the Fondazione Archivio Luigi Nono. 

Each edition has a publication which is an important tool to document the exhibition. It is part of the Foundation’s series, which has existed since 1908 and is significant for research into contemporary art.
