In this work, the image is conceived as a process of intermedial translation rather than a direct representation of reality. Through subtle chromatic variations and the material quality of the brushstroke, the painting practice is oriented toward an investigation of the individual psychological state. The starting point derives from an accurate preliminary photographic study of the subject. Subsequently, this is re-elaborated through the painting medium. Oil painting allows for the construction of a coherent and structured visual language. In this sense, the work is not configured as a simple copy of reality, but as a structure in continuous re-elaboration between photography and painting.

Biography

Born in Tsingtao (China) in 1998. In 2023, he earned a Three-year Degree in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. Currently attending the Master’s Degree course in Art Graphics. Works as a curator at Qingdao Hongmiao Art & Culture Co., Ltd.
