A car carries upon it the mortal remains, squashed, of a rat run over at high speed.
The work is a social critique. Those who hold power cynically crush those who live in the darkness of an increasingly difficult daily life. At the same time, it stands as a monument to human ingenuity represented by the mechanical speedster, capable of defeating the forces of evil embodied by the rat (an ancestral symbol of death, plague, and famine).

The work is based on the double meaning that constitutes its conceptual heart: on one hand, the car as an emblem of a blind and predatory race, made of speed, success, and accumulation, which produce an invisible trail of waste, marginal lives, and sacrificed presences. On the other hand, the same object offers itself as a celebration of human ingenuity: a perfect machine, the result of technical knowledge, discipline, imagination, and labor, which affirms the human capacity to build extraordinary forms and to symbolically dominate chaos.

Biography

Born in Padua in 2004. He has been exhibiting and presenting his works for just over a year, after attending the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan. He is currently studying Social Work Sciences at the University of Padua. Lives and works in Cadoneghe.
