I find refuge in my bathroom, in my shower. I know that here no one can see me. I know that here I can do unusual things like sticking hair lost during washing onto the damp shower tiles. Rhythmically and ritually, every three days, I wash my head. I collect the lost hairs and record them by trapping them in latex. These systematic casts, joined according to a rigorous crochet pattern, form a life-size shower curtain. I return to that intimate and protected dimension that I find in the act of washing and sewing. The slow and constant repetition of these practices builds a photographic archive, a documentation of a certain space and a certain time; it fixes a moment and creates a memory.

Biography

Born in Bassano del Grappa (VI) in 2001. She graduated in Multimedia Arts from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, where she is now finishing her studies in Decoration.
