Unusual dialogue is an action aimed at seeking a dialogue with the wildlife of a place. This exchange takes place through the mediation of technology.

It is an attempt to re-establish the relationship between Western man and nature. This relationship, over time, has deteriorated due to a vision typical of our culture, based on the opposition between the parts, where one (nature) is subordinate and functional to the other (man).

The work consists of a series of walks taken in the woods of the Berici Hills between May 2025 and January 2026. During these walks, a Bluetooth speaker playing recordings of native bird songs acted as a communication bridge with the species of the area.

The video documents the last walk. It was made with a smartphone and designed to convey not so much the success of the action, but the fact of having documented it.

Biography

Born in Arzignano (VI) in 2001. Graduated from the Santa Caterina Art High School in Treviso in Figurative Pictorial Arts. Earned a First-Level Diploma in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Verona. Currently attending the Master’s program in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.
