The artist’s painting practice develops from the observation of daily life. The imagery that fuels her repertoire of places, figures, objects, and gestures is rooted in her family history. It originates within an emotional enclosure with an unstable profile, which either releases or restrains the whirlpools of memory, capturing fragments of familiar elements, tools, rags, and remnants.

The features of each subject, the quickly recognizable appearances of lived realities, dissolve across indefinable spaces and times. They withdraw from visible experience to hold onto a single moment and return it to its existential dimension. In this way, they reach a sanctuary of comforting certainties, yet one that remains anxious due to the reflection of uncertainty and the fear of distant worlds.

The repetition of domestic embroidery acts and rhythms alternates with the representation of objects. The metric precision of the cross-stitch, almost leaning toward the languages of abstract painting, often intersects with genuine figuration: corners and folds of dishcloths, or food scraps and ingredients of ritual meals, household goods, and improbable relics of domestic life. These include unusable memories and house pets (whether healthy or dying, dismembered and digested, or preserved in pieces).

Biography

Born in Gorizia in 2001. In 2024, she earned a First-Level Diploma in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice. She is currently attending the Painting course at Atelier F within the same Academy.
